A ROYAL Navy sailor grabbed a woman’s breasts while playing basketball and slapped her bottom daily, a court martial has heard. Underwater warfare specialist Andrew Hallimond, based on the frigate HMS Richmond (pictured above), faces four charges of sexual assault by touching between February and June last year. Prosecutor Rupert Gregory told Bulford military court in Wiltshire the 38-year-old was not in a relationship with the complainant but had ‘an unhealthy interest’. ‘He simply couldn’t keep his hands off her,’ he said. ‘Whenever the opportunity arose he would slap her bottom and grope her breasts in a way which was entirely inappropriate and, the prosecution say, criminal.’ Mr Gregory said that one time when Hallimond was playing basketball he grabbed the woman’s breasts while tackling her. Mr Hallimond told police any touching was accidental. He denies all charges and the trial continues.
